Taman Negara, Malaysia’s oldest national park, was established in 1938 as the King George V National Park. Covering over 4,300 square kilometers, it is one of the oldest tropical rainforests in the world, estimated to be around 130 million years old. The park is located across three states: Pahang, Kuala Lumpur, and Kelantan. It was renamed Taman Negara in 1957, which translates to “National Park” in Malay.
