Places to Visit in the Southern Ridges:

  1. Mount Faber Park: One of Singapore’s oldest parks, Mount Faber offers panoramic views of the city and Sentosa Island. You can ride the Singapore Cable Car from here to Sentosa.
  2. Henderson Waves: An iconic pedestrian bridge and architectural marvel, this wave-like structure is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore (36 meters above ground), offering a scenic vantage point and a great spot for sunset views.
  3. Telok Blangah Hill Park: Known for its Terrace Garden, this park is a peaceful retreat with picturesque landscapes, making it ideal for picnics and photography.

How to Get to the Southern Ridges:

  • By MRT:
    • HarbourFront MRT Station (North East Line and Circle Line) is the most convenient station if you are starting from Mount Faber Park or heading to Henderson Waves. From there, you can walk or take a bus to the park.
    • Kent Ridge MRT Station (Circle Line) is close to HortPark and Kent Ridge Park.
  • By Bus: Several buses service the area, including bus numbers 61, 131, 124, and 145, with stops near the various entry points of the Southern Ridges.
  • By Car: Parking is available at several parks along the route, including Mount Faber, Kent Ridge, and Labrador Nature Reserve. However, the trail itself is car-free, so you’ll have to park at designated lots and walk.
